Despite the heat, tamas picked us up from... read more our hotel and gave us a wonderful day trip, with a slower pace. He was very patient with my 3 yr old toddler (and even bought a new car seat to accommodate her age and size) and grandparents we were traveling with. At the end of the day, my daughter was commenting how nice and kind he was. He provided us with great local snacks and drinks all day (kept ice cold in his fridge cooler). He always made sure to start the car ac ahead of time to keep us comfortable. He explained so much Hungarian history because we were interested and toured us around the sites so we could do the highlights efficiently. We got to see so much in a day and he never made us feel rushed at all. We loved his story telling and his kindness. The price seemed steep but in the end I’m glad we felt we got our money’s worth even during the heat wave.

More... read more importantly, Tamás was a WEALTH of knowledge on Hungarian history and we had a great time seeing it come alive in the different locations we went to along the Bend. He had great recommendations for our lunch spot and activities, making sure we maximized our tour time. We HIGHLY recommend doing a tour with Tamás, and wish we had had the opportunity to join him on some of his others!! One of the highlights of our trip for sure!

He has sent... read more me a message that morning so I let him know we were in the lobby about 10 mins before our scheduled pick up time and he walked right in and greeted us. He was very friendly and came prepared with drinks and snacks for the day. His van was very comfortable to ride in , and he made sure the temperature in the back was to our liking. Along our journey we opted to hear about the history of the areas we were driving through. He was very knowledgeable about historical events from early history to more modern eras. It was very apparent he has a passion for what he does. During our stops he talked about the building and ruins in the area which was great information. For lunch he recommended an excellent restaurant that was well priced and delicious.. Just as an fyi bring your passport with you for this tour as we briefly passed into Slovakia for a great vantage point. I would also recommend comfortable walking shoes. There were a handful of flights of steps but I wouldn’t say the activity level is more than moderate. My Apple Watch recorded around 10k steps, some of which were self inflicted as we spent some time going back and forth through some shops. We were dropped back off safe and sound to our hotel in the afternoon with lots of pictures and great memories. I recommend this tour and would do it all over again!

At each stop, his historical commentary was much appreciated, informative, enlightening, and definitely added to the overall experience.

He was kind and courteous as he offered us bottles of water and snacks. Also, he was really patient and never rushed us, as my Mom and I did some shopping at a market in our free time in Szentendre. If I'm ever in the area again, I would book one of his other tours he offers. We can't recommend this tour enough.
